Children Need Music

Sheila Wall MT-BC • Mar 21, 2020

Music brings organization to the brain. When used mindfully, music can help learn basic skills, develop intelligence, direct thoughts. Music activates the entire brain which is why the autistic child can stabilize when music is played or a Down's Syndrome child can learn to walk with music playing. The Music Therapist helps direct the child with goal driven music related activities that help that child grow and develop better than without the help that music gives.

Goal for parents: learn a new children's song and use it to help your child learn a new skill.
