I’ve spent much of my career working with those who live with memory impairing conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease and Lewy Bodies disease. I developed and administered the Music Therapy program at Dunn County Healthcare Center, an extended-stay nursing care to seniors with varying levels of disabilities in Menomonie, WI.

In 2018, I combined my love of music and my desire to help others by founding The Music Therapist Company.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. I’m a member of the Wisconsin Chapter for Music Therapy, hold board certifications in Music Therapy, and been certified as a DBT (Dialectic Behavior Therapy) informed Music Therapist.

I also hold multiple certifications in couples’ therapy, music-assisted childbirth, healthcare administration, assisted living, and long-term care administration.

I spent part of my childhood in South America and Puerto Rico, where I became fluent in Spanish. I volunteer as board president of the Stand in the Light Memory Choir, whose members have memory loss or dementia, and as keyboard player on my church worship team.

I’m a lover of the outdoors, cats, and, of course, my kids and grandbabies. But most of all, I love helping people through the power of music and Music Therapy.

Quotation Mark

I have seen great progress with my son in the social interaction realm and cooperative play. The rapport between he and MT is excellent and the familiarity adds to his progress. It has been a very productive tool in his development.
